Pinhoti Trail

The Pinhoti Trail traverses 350 miles through Georgia and Alabama along the Southern Appalachain mountains. The trail's Northern Terminus is located in North West Georgia where it intersects with the Benton MacKaye Trail and runs to the Southern Terminus at Flagg Mountain in Central Alabama. Its one most popular hiking trails in the south and with no surprise its a highly sought-after speed record!
Why am I doing it?
It's always been a dream of mine to set a Speed Record on all the major trails in the southeast! Earlier this year I was able to set an FKT on the 289 Mile Benton Mackaye Trail and I recently set an FKT on the Georgia Section of the Appalachain Trail so the last major trail in the Southeast is the Pinhtoi Trail! I was fortunate enough to help my good friend Coree Woltering set a FKT on the Pinhoti earlier this year, I ran over 140 miles with him I couldn't help but wonder what the rest of the trail had in store. So a big motivater is just to explore the rest of the Pinhtoi Trail!
